Bullrun Recap v.Spanking Lambos and the Big O

Thursday, March 25th, 2010

So, last week was a crazy one. In my opinion, they leave out a lot of the good stuff, but what the heck do I know. I’m just talent. LOLZ. Anyway, Leg 5 wasn’t the same without Team Mini. They said that they felt they got too close to some people. I am going to have to assume that we were part of that. I have to admit that I was like a fish out of water out there. I really didn’t know anyone. I missed my man like crazy — I am so used to having him there to be my balance. I am not new to how *ahem* passionate I can become sometimes and he helps to keep me in check. Anyhow enough of that mushy stuff, Team Mini was my sanity on Bullrun, long story short and I sure missed them once they were gone.

Now onto the driving baybay! So, they show Team Wu waiting for us — or getting lost — whatever, I don’t even know at this point, but then they show us just so quick to answer when the Wu’s come a callin’. We had talked with Team Lambo a lot behind the scenes about teaming up for a leg just because we all thought it would be fun, but they were still a little worried that I had called the police on them. They also told us while we were still back at the junk yard that they would team up with us if we threw Challenger in. Emilie and I weren’t really down with that, so we kind of just didn’t say anything at the time. We did agree to it once we were int he car and following, but we wouldn’t have done it anyways. It just felt too yucky. Even agreeing to it made us feel all shady. For the record, we were pretty friendly with Challenger. They took good care of us out there. They brought a case of 5 hour energy and were very generous with giving us a bunch whenever we asked. Super cool dudes.

Anyhow, when we saw Lambo pull out in front of us and heard them call us on the walkie talkies, it was a surprise. We hesitated for a few minutes and debated answering. We waited so long in fact that we got to hear Julia from Hemicuda talking junk about us to the Wu’s on the radio for a minute. Something about how she likes Team Lambo’s new white bumper sticker…Team Lexus and “Oh, are we now friends with Team Lexus?” It was pretty enjoyable. It was my first taste of what people say about us on the radio.

Ok now time for the juicy stuff. Me and Emilie and Lexi smokin’ Team Lambo in a drag race. Man that felt good. Leg 4 was such a rough one for me, so it was awesome to have some sweet victory. Everyone on the forums seems to think that every piece of Bullrun is real…..except for the drag race between us and the Lambo. I mean, come on guys. Lambos are not that fast. Expensive? Yes. Faster than a 2JZGTE? Hell to tha naw! Sure the Lambo might pull from a 40 roll on the bottom, but once that turbo spools on the Lexus, it’s over. That car is a highway machine. It’s not a freaking monster truck! Why would anyone expect me to do well in the dirt challenge but the drag race was rigged? I just don’t get it sometimes, but people will be people, I guess. The drag race also brought about talk on my driving skills again. I feel  like I shouldn’t even address it because it sounds like I am trying to defend it, so guess what? I’m not going to respond :P I do what I want.

oooOOOooooo Ahhhhaahhhhhh …… OOOOOOO yea. Ok kill me now. All I can do at this point is make fun of myself. I have no idea why I decided it would be ok to have walkie talkie sex on national TV, but I did. I guess you could say that it’s really easy to forget the cameras are on. Especially in the car where there isn’t a huge person behind it. It kind of just sits off in the corner all quiet and stuff. But yea, the awesome part about the whole scene was the look on Hemicuda’s faces! Almost totally worth it, but not really. Let me apologize to all of the people out there that I have caused to have nightmares. I was really not thinking. :)

Gosh there is just so much to tell, I feel like I can easily go overboard and bore you to death, so I am just going to say congrats to Team Hemicuda for killing the slingshot challenge. I also want to say that I was very sad to see Team Mustang go. They were the other half of our alliance and now we were really all alone out there. I still talk to Tony a lot. At least once a week. It’s awesome to hear his wife and kids in the background speculation on Bullrun. One good thing about Bullrun is the friends I made. Shout out to Kenny and Tony! We missed you guys.

NOW onto episode 6 stuff. Watch tonight at 10 pm est. You can tune into my live broadcast on JTV by clicking here Tracy’s Live Channel. Be there or be a loser. I made that one up.

Bullrun recap v.B*tch I’m from Pompano Beach!

Thursday, March 18th, 2010

Shout out to my girls Sandra and Frances ;) 2 of my bestest friends from high school and also from Pompano Beach, Florida. So what does any of this have to do with Bullrun? Well, settle yourself in and I will tell you.

It goes a little something like this: Don’t start none and there won’t be none. Where I’m from, you mind your own business until someone makes your business theirs. Once they decide to try you like a free sample — it’s on. I’m not really one to go around picking fights, but let me tell you, if you start a fight with me or come at me with an attitude, I will oblige and finish it. That’s how we get down in Pompano. It’s a rough part of town and if you act soft, you get taken advantage of. Survival of the fittest.

As it pertains to my life now a days: I’m a woman in this mans industry. Boobs are a sign of weakness. I am assertive and I stand my ground….because I have to or else I get taken advantage of.  Survival of the fittest. Thank goodness for all of the lessons I learned growing up in good ole Pompano Beach. Because had I grown up in Beverly Hills, I’m not quite sure I would survive in this industry for 1 second and I wouldn’t trade my life for any one else’s. I happen to love my position.

Anyhow, lots of people have noticed that I have quite the crappy attitude on the show and there seems to be a lot of hate for Team Lexus going around these days. Let me just say, I think it’s hilarious! Thus far we have been called fat sweaty pig narcs, whores, sluts, all that and a bag of stale chips, etc. Use your imagination and we have been called every middle school name in the book. For me, it’s publicity. My band of haters just don’t realize how they do their part to feed my ego — the ego that they love to hate.

The thing that most people take for granted while watching the show is that there are 48 hours jammed into a 1 hour show. Each team gets about 1-3 minutes of air time per show. Open your mind a little and I don’t have to tell you how a TV show works. It’s the producers job to pick out the “best” moments to air. Most of the time they err on the side of drama. Probably because the viewers make it obvious that’s what they want to watch. How do we know this? Ratings, of course. For me, hind sight is 20/20, so I can understand the public opinion. I have always watched reality TV without thinking too much about the way it actually works and how much time has to be crunched  into a show.

Bullrun was hard as hell. It’s hard on your mind, body and soul. It’s like the Survivor of car shows except that when you watch Survivor, it is painfully obvious that they are being put through hell. With Bullrun it just looks like all fun and games mixed in with some jokers and some villains. The fact is, what they show is “real”. I certainly am displaying my distaste for what is going on out there. It’s unfortunate that I can’t share all of my insight from behind the scenes, but what I can tell you is that I am really not one to take certain crap too kindly. I was naive and it was very easy for me to fall into exactly what the producers needed — drama. Those of you who know me personally know this is what I do best. Once I feel slighted, it gets ugly and everyone will know about it. I am the kind of girl who will take on a cause for the whole group and that’s what happened with Bullrun. I openly expressed our distaste for a lot of things and the cameras are always rolling. The thing I never thought about while I was out there was the editing booth. I lived under the assumption that the whole story would be told and that everyone watching would know where I was coming from and agree. Again, I was naive.

So, that brings us to the biggest topic of the episode 4. I am about to answer the question that everyone has been asking. Did Team Lexus (me specifically) call the cops on Team Lambo? The answer is HELL TO THE NAW! Let me break it down for you:

  1. I am from Pompano and we handle our business face to face, not via the po po and I have handled my fair share of business….face to face.
  2. I started off in this industry 10 years ago as a street racer (tsk tsk). One thing that everyone hates in the street racing scene is the police. It never even crossed my mind to do anything to the Wu’s besides talk junk, much less call the police on them. I am just not that kind of girl.
  3. I have a reputation to protect and a life to live after the show. The last thing I  would want is for the whole dang world to think I called the police on someone for basically nothing. Had you stabbed my man, I may call the police on you, but over “calling me out”….um not so much. It’s just not that serious to me. As you can tell, I was laughing after it happened. I thought it was cute. So cute in fact that Wu and I had a moment after (repost):

Now, onto a little sleuthing I did. This could very well get me in trouble, but I need to save the one part of my Bullrun reputation that I actually care about so far. I found this cute little website that the Sacramento PD has. Good thing for me their slogan is, “A partnership with the community.” They take that slogan so seriously that they even have this page that documents all of the activity that the PD has everyday so the community can keep tabs on where their tax dollars go: http://www.sacpd.org/dailyactivity/ If you go back to the month of September 2009, the time where we were in Sacramento (specifically around the 22nd and 23rd or so), you will be able to read that there was no police activity that resembles what went on Team Lambo (unless I just somehow overlooked it even though I checked several times). Some nay sayers might go along with Team Lambo’s story of the police breaking their “very expensive sun visor” during a search of their car and escorting them out of town in lieu of having to deal with that. Well, all of us with common sense know that this just wouldn’t happen…especially in front of TV cameras. If they did, I would have to assume they would have at least reported their activity and it would be on the site.

Anyhow, I ‘m not going to beat a dead horse over it. I just figured I would put the public record out there and hope to clear my name a little. What’s done is done and I know in my heart that neither Emilie or I called the police on the Wu’s.  If I did, I would have spoken up and laughed about it with the other cast members. I’m not really too good at keeping my mouth shut, as we all very well know. Love me or hate me, I keeps it real (and I kind of can’t even help it). Don’t act brand new —  like I didn’t warn you with my Bullrun profile.

If you want to read about my take on last weeks challenge, you can read the blog post I made earlier this week on the topic.

Here is the Episode 5 commercial. Should be quite interesting! As you’ll see, Team Lambo and Team Lexus will have some private time out on the open road. I’m excited to see how this episode comes out. Should be a pretty fun one:

Bullrun Ep 4. My thoughts on being in the challenge.

Friday, March 12th, 2010

My thoughts on the run are that slow and steady was our plan. We made sure we said that on camera before and after the run so everyone would know. I know no one wants to hear that, but frankly, I don’t give a F  :D

Those tires we had to roll weigh like 200 lbs and if you dropped them you have to pick them up and move them. If they flop, that is not so good for 2 130 lb girls. Also, if you didn’t move them all the way in the hole and they flopped after you went thru, when you come back the other way you have to move the tires out of the way to get back thru. That was part one of our plan. To get thru the tires wihtout dropping them.

Part 2 of our plan was that it was an extremely tight, dirt course. We had very low clearance for the intercooler that was hanging down and there were huge ass ruts on that track. So we decided that it may be best to not slide all over the course because sliding is not the fastest route and that if we went too fast we might rip off the intercooler. We also just hoped that someone else would make a mistake…and they did.

Lastly, they haven’t been showing this really, but up until that day, our car was stalling every 5 seconds. Literally. If I pressed in the clutch it would stall. Before we went out on the course, Emilie messed witht he idle screw and we prayed it would work because we had tried to idle screw already and it didn’t work. This was our last ditch effort. If we had to stop the car or back up, we might have stalled. The car did stall because I left it in gear when we got out to move the tires. That was def my bad.

Anyways, we are still in. I’m not gonna get all hot and heavy with anyone over us driving slow. You know why, because I’m not gonna give anyone the pleasure :) As far as my driving career or record, it has no bearing in this instance. The Lexus ain’t my car and it wasn’t a drift or drag or road race comp. Reality is not reality peeps ;) It’s reality TV. If this doesn’t prove it, I don’t know what does:

Back to your regularly scheduled weekly hate fest.

Bullrun tonight v.Everyone Hates Team Lexus.

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

Last week was a sad week. I really truly liked the guys from Team Viper. Dale caught a lot of flack on the Bullrun forum for his driving, but it’s easy to be a bench racer while you sit on your couch watching TV. It’s a whole different story when it is YOUR Hennessey Viper out there for the wrecking. Of course, all of us know that we will eventually go into a challenge at some point, but you PRAY that it is a challenge that suits your car. Things just didn’t go that way for Team Viper. I was was there and saw their run in person. Dale would try to give it some gas and the car just wasn’t having it. That car is meant for good times on asphalt, not dirt. Anyways RIP Team Viper. You will be sorely missed.

Now on to the drama and behind the scenes gossip from episode 3. First of all, not only do we have sign stealers, NOW we have MAP stealers. Team NSX apparently decided to steal Team Mini’s map because we wouldn’t let NSX bump in front of the line to get on the ferry. Sissy and I had to stand in front of their car so they couldn’t do so. I guess they didn’t like that and decided to play dirty as punishment. It took all of being turned around for 2 seconds and Mini’s map was no where to be found. Us teams had no idea that they actually did steal the map that day because they never admitted it, but of course we had a strong feeling they did. It just didn’t make sense any other way. Alas, karma is always a bitch and NSX ended up locking their keys in their car. Too bad someone from production had a hanger or else they would have been stuck there.

Now onto the guy running the Ferry. OMG I could have killed that guy. As some of you guys may know, my new nick name has become Tube Top. Hey! A girl has to do what a girl has to do. I know the power of my assets and when to use them. Well this used to work anyways. I don’t know if I am just over my prime now or if this guy was gay, but the offer didn’t work. In fact nothing worked. It’s probably safe to assume that the Wu’s paid him off more than any of us could afford.

Luckily, we made it to the final check point thanks to some really nice locals. As you see, Viper ended up turning around because it looked like a road to nowhere. We decided to stick with it. They didn’t show it, but we came across a guy in a minivan who went completely out of his way for about 20 miles to get us to a main road. There is one thing I can say about Bullrun, the teams may have been mean, but the locals everywhere we went were super nice. There were so many people willing to take the time to go out of their way to take us to where we needed to go. Just when you think all of humanity sucks, Bullrun restores the faith!

Next up. Can anyone say F Wu????? Gawd I am so over them. For some odd reason, someone made the decision to cut out a large piece of the drama that led up to Bill “calling me out” on being a past driver. So, it goes a little something like this: the day before, during the many hours of standing around on challenge days, Team Lambo got into the conversation about whether they could Google me or not and come up with something, which I thought was kind of a weird conversation to be having—considering we had no access to computers. I just laughed it off and went about my business. The next day rolls around and we are out on the road doing our thing and all of a sudden we see Lambo passing us at about 90 mph with no follow van in sight. So we grab our flip cams and film them doing speeding their hiney’s off. We were told by the producers that if we sped to the check points for immunity, the immunity wouldn’t be there when we got there. Of course, there was much controversy about whether this was said by the producers or not afterwards, but I know what I heard. I had the fastest car out there and if all I had to do was speed to the immunity, then I was all about it. But when the question was raised by another team and we were told about the speeding, we decided to play by the rules and hoped Lambo would get caught NOT playing by the rules and have the immunity taken from them.

So, the next day we tell the other teams we caught Lambo speeding on video and show them the tape. At this point everyone is talking like they hate the Wu’s, so they were all excited that I had caught them speeding. Emilie was going to stop the presses during the eliminations and show the tape, but at the last minute she got cold feet and we decided I would call it out. So, when they flung out the immunity, I yelled for everyone to stop and pulled out my camera to show what we had captured. Let’s just say, it didn’t go over well. I assume this is why they decided to cut the whole thing out.

Ultimately, the callout the Wu’s made about my past career was in retort to me calling them out for speeding. I have no idea how they found out because we didn’t tell ANYONE besides production. They only show 1 minute of the 10 minute ordeal between me and Bil, but he was calling me a liar and asking me who I told blah blah blah. Either way it happened, the jig was up and we were now a target. We went from girls who stalled their boyfriends car to a possible threat in an instant.

The good news, we came in 2nd on that leg, so we must have been doing something right. Even though Emilie and I argued for about 15 minutes about where the check point was, we found it and weren’t in eliminations.

So, now we are on track for this weeks show. Where I start to find out how people really feel about us. I have to tell you, we have no idea what people say when they are in their cars until we see it on tv. I had read on one of the Lexus forums that BMW may have told some people after the show that no one liked Team Lexus out there. Which was awesome because it inspired this sticker made by my friend Voodoo Timm:

It was fun for a minute, but now I am getting to see how people really felt about us out there. Watch the episode 4 behind the scenes footage below where you will see it all start to come out. I am most shocked by little miss Julia from Hemicuda. One thing I am not is catty. I may be loud and boisterous—the worst of my issues, but I am not catty. I always try to support other women because I have been in this man’s industry for a very long time and I know how hard it is to feel respected. The last thing us girls need to be doing is wishing ill fate on each other or putting each other down and I just don’t do it. Especially behind someones back. At the very least I will let you know how I feel to your face and try to work it out with you. Either way, I still have love for little Miss Babycuda. I find it hard to hold a grudge and that was like 4 months ago. So for me, it’s water under the bridge.

The good news? Apparently no one on the show liked us, but Speed’s marketing department sure does. They called me a few weeks ago and asked if I would like to do an interview for national print publications. They said they liked my story and thought it would be a good way to promote Bullrun. Of course, I said yes and the article came out this past Saturday. So, I think I’ll just keep being me and not worry about what the catty people say. In the long run, everything seems to be working out in my favor. As I always say, good things happen to good people. Being loud and assertive doesn’t make you a bad person and doesn’t deserve the ill will.

Bullrun Episode 3 tonight!!! Let the games begin!

Thursday, March 4th, 2010

Let me first start by saying….HOLY CRAP! Last weeks night run was a doosie. Not only did we drive into the wee hours of the morning, but Team Wu was at it again with the sign stealing!!! Since it was like 4 am when we finally arrived at the final check point (don’t quote me on the time—it all kind of blends together at this point) there was no one in town to ask where the freaking place was. So the only thing we had to do was search for headlights in the distance. It only made sense that the only people awake in that town were the cast and crew of Bullrun. Anyhow, I thought it was a pretty run of the mill episode aside from the fantastic challenge. When we saw that in person, we were all very awe struck. All 3 teams did an amazing job, but I think Corvette gets the award for most interesting.

Here is a behind the scenes video of the challenge. I think they will be doing one of these videos each week, so keep an eye out if you enjoy them.

and that brings us to episode 3 where I can be quoted as saying, “You trying to call me a liar….trying to make me look dumb??!!!”

This is the time where, as they say on the Real World, people stop being polite and start getting real….real freaking ugly, real freaking fast. This is also the episode where everyone starts to really play the game. We are all starting to catch on to the fact that being sneaky might be the only way to win. Especially with the Wu’s in our presence.

First of all, the heat is insane! I have no idea why when I packed to go on the show I packed almost all winter clothes. Oh I remember why, they told us to pack winter clothes! They must have given us the paperwork from last seasons show. WTF do I know??  I have no idea what the weather is like where we were going and I hate more than anything to be cold. The thing I hate next most is being so hot that I could have sworn I was in hell. During filming at Mojave, I actually got so dehydrated that I passed out on the set. I have never felt like that before and was super embarrassed. The good thing was that as soon as it happened—it was over. Some wet towels and some Gatorade did the trick and I was back on the set in like 20 minutes. I need to give a big thanks to Bill Goldberg for being so concerned for me while it was all going on. He actually carried me off set. Everyone always asks me what I think of Bill in real life. I think he is awesome and very down to Earth. That’s real talk.

Secondly (yes there was a first of all), 2 girls in a car or extended amounts of time getting to be a little bit tough. Don’t get me wrong, Emilie is a super duper chick. It’s just that maybe I am getting a little home sick at this point. I was starting to feel all alone at this point and even kind of alienated. I am so used to having Dan by my side for everything and I didn’t really know Emilie all that well. People talk junk about me just about everywhere I go. I am very well aware of that and expect it at this point. It’s just that I usually have Dan there to tell me it’s ok and to forget about everyone because he knows what time it really is. My personality is wild and hard to deal with and I always bank on the fact that Dan knows where I am coming from at least. Out here being myself was probably a little much for the cast to deal with….especially Emilie! Oh well! At least it will make for good TV and gossip, right? LOL.

Anyways, tune in tonight! This might be the best episode yet. Remember I will be live broadcasting tonight and every Thursday at 10pm est as Bullrun airs at Justin.TV/Batltracy

Sneak Peek of tonights episode.

Bullrun recap. I know how to pump freaking gas! Jeez!

Friday, February 19th, 2010

So, I’m sure a lot of you saw the Bullrun Premiere last night on Speed. It was so awesome! I am so excited that I got to be a part of something so cool. Of course, while I was out there it wasn’t always peaches and cream…as you can tell. Seems like my first challenge was to get the freaking gas pumps to work! I just want to make sure that everyone knows that I know what an odometer is! However, on the East Coast we don’t have to type in our odometer reading to pump gas (or maybe it was the gas cards we were using) :) Nor do we have to make sure that the pump is completely sealed in the tank before we can pump. I had no idea that the 2 coast could be so different, but then again I didn’t leave South Florida til I was 17. Who knew that leaves actually fell from trees in Autumn? Not me :D

Anyhow, I was very sad to see Team VW go. They definitely had the most Bullrun team spirit. The irony given the story is that they made Bullrun fun in the exact opposite way that Team Lambo did. VW was there to make sure everyone was having a good time. They wanted to win, but not at the expense of others. They just wanted to do a good job themselves and it really sucks to see them go out over a starter issue. On the sunny side, that dang VW makes 300 whp! That is just amazing.

In the end, Bullrun isn’t about spirit, unfortunately. It’s not even really about excellent driving. It’s about being smart. It’s about playing the game. It’s about doing what it takes to win. Some of us play by the rules. Some of us bend them. I suggest you watch the rest of the season because you have no idea! In all honesty I was there and I have no idea. We don’t know what the teams did while we weren’t there. It’s gonna be pretty awesome to see!!!!

Oh and in case you didn’t get to see yet, go to Team Lexus and then find the video tab next to the photos at the bottom of the page and watch the behind the scenes footage! Hilarious. http://www.speedtv.com/programs/bullrun/meet-the-teams/

Bullrun Survival Guide v.Oh god what have I done??

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

914563_program_hero16

Well it seems like it’s time to recap the first showing of Bullrun, which wasn’t really the premiere, but instead was a behind the scenes survival guide meant to introduce everyone to the show and the teams and how it all works. I have to admit, I was so excited to see my big fat head on TV again. I was even more excited to have a throw down in honor of my big fat head being on tv, but things just didn’t go as planned!

First, I somehow became deathly ill the day before my party which carried on into Friday, the day of my supposed party—supposed being the key word here. Second, Friday comes and the weather man is talking about snow, snow, snow. I look out the window and see nothing. Then, by golly, sometime in the early afternoon hell froze over and dumped 3 inches of snow on good ole Atlanta….which would have been ok had we been in NY, but if you live here in GA you better have a stock pile of canned food and bottled water because the world is coming to an end. In reality, it’s just that Atlanta has 1 salt truck and us southerners don’t know how to drive in winter weather. Heck, we can’t even drive in summer weather, much less winter weather. Ultimately, I ended up having to cancel the party. :(

Anyhow, I ended up having to enjoy the Survival Guide on the couch with my man and my dog. Awesometown. And that bring us to the next part of my story….OMG WHAT HAVE I DONE???????? OK, so lots of you reading already know all about my bad attitude and bitchy ways. I really don’t go too far to try to hide them. I have tried that in the past and it’s just too much hard work and I am lazy. The only problem I am facing at this point is that the whole nation is potentially watching!!!!! Do I care? Not really. Do the critics? Apparently YES! Thank goodness. I am happy to know that all of my talent won’t go to waste on people who don’t have an opinion. Read here for a good time as Mr. Angry from season 1 tells us all how it is from his perspective and totally talks crap about me while he does.

I think it’s awesome to see how people perceive us already thanks to the good ole editing room. No, like really awesome, not like sarcasm awesome. I am really excited and scared all at the same time. I mean, the cameras don’t lie, but they tell an amazing story! Remember to join us every Thursday here on the blog as I live broadcast during the airing of the show. Hear the stroy told from my perspective and watch Dan and Brandon make fun of me while Speed TV tells it from theirs.

In the meanwhile, watch the Survival Guide below:

and if you want, see the magic of editing check out our intro video below where you will see the rest of the story behind my proclamation of being a race car driver as shown in the Survival Guide. In reality, it wasn’t a bragging session. It was telling our strategy of playing dumb girls.

Make sure you tune in next Thursday at 10:00 EST for the premiere!

Check out the rest of the team intros!

Bullrun Survival Guide is tonight! Don't be tardy for the party!

Friday, February 12th, 2010

Well today is the day that the Bull will come a runnin’! I am so excited yet so freaking nervous at the same time. It’s been a while since we filmed the show, so I have all but forgotten some of the things that went down out there. I know that the camera were there the entire time to remind me of the story. The trip was so full emotions and they will come rushing back every Thursday at 10:00. O-M-G! What have I done????

The funny things is that I am worried how I will be portrayed. Totally not my style. I am the girl who doesn’t care what the hell people think of me. I am the girl who is crazy as hell and is totally fine with that. I knew going out there that they would capitalize on my robust personality….to include all of my fits and rants along the way. So, now you are probably asking why I am so nervous given all of this? Well, someone else is telling the story. I know the “cameras don’t lie” as they say, but they dang sure don’t tell the whole story. That is where my nervousness comes in.

The excitement comes from the potential publicity this ca bring our humble little shop. Hopefully it will turn out good. If othig else, more people in the Uited States will hear about our little shop Batlground.

Ok, so enough of all of that mumbo jumbo. Let’s get down to some meat.

Party tonight at the 5 Spot in Little 5 Points. I will be there at 9 for dinner and birthday cake. Everyone is welcome to join us for that. At 10:30 the survival guide will be on the big screen then after the show at 11 Atlanta Dubstep will be on the 1′s and 2′s getting down ad dirty.

Next, Speed has put up driver intros on their site for all 12 teams. It’s awesome to hear what they had to say when no one else was around! It all begins now. Hopefully I don’t want to get off the ride early!

Lastly, Beginning next week on Thursday Feb 18th at 10:00, Bullrun will come on every Thursday. Everyone has already been asking me all kinds of questions about Goldberg, the other teams, their cars and my thoughts on things that may have happened on the show. Being that I can’t talk about a lot of that until the show airs, I have decided to watch it live with everyone via our blog. So, catch me on our live broadcasting page every week live broadcasting and ask me any question you want as it happens.

I hope everyone enjoys the show! This season is going to be amazing! I feel like screaming right now! But it’s early and I will refrain so I don’t piss off my neighbor. See y’all on the small screen! Ta Ta!

SECTION 8
Gamma Audio, Abducted Dub, Planet Terror, Atlanta Dubstep, Abstract Logic Recordings, Household Management, www.myspace.com/section8audio // Atlanta, GA

Mike Waterbury, aka Section 8, fell in love with Drum & Bass in early 1999 after moving down to Atlanta from his hometown in Connecticut. Influenced by many sounds including Virus, Subtitles, Hospital, & Atlanta-based Shadow Law, his love for Liquid & Neurofunk was crystal clear in every set. After playing at numerous Drum & Bass events throughout the southeast, he soon became one of Atlanta’s top locals. In one such instance he even had to fill in for a certain LTJ BUKEM, who had missed a show due to complications. Section 8 was lauded for his ability to fill in for such a legend and still be able to hold the crowd with a ridiculously spectacular set. Some say he even rivaled LTJ himself. In 2005, Section 8 took the next step & started producing Drum & Bass. Two years later, he discovered a huge attraction to Dubstep after hearing such artists as Vaccine, Vex’d, and Burial. Now primarily focused on Dubstep, he is trying to bring something new to the table with his sound. Known for his signature synths and driving bass lines, Section 8 is making his name known worldwide. In September of 2009, Section 8’s debut release entitled “Mercury EP” was released on Abducted Records. Only out a few days, “Boulevard” appeared in Beatport’s Top 100 for Dubstep. The rest of Autumn and into the Winter of 2009 will be a busy season for Section 8, especially after his linking up with top producers like Killeralien, B1TCRUNCH3R, Phonetic System, and Mouch. With an upcoming collaboration coming out on Planet Terror, and an EP due out before winter on Gamma Audio, the near future looks very bright for Section 8.

JEREMY KIRK
www.atlantadubstep.com, Worldwide Transmissions, Household Management // Atlanta, GA

Jeremy Kirk is an Atlanta based Dubstep artist with long roots in the Southeast Drum and Bass community. Since 1995 and the days of Faderwars, Jeremy has been behind the decks, and impressing crowds. Proud to be one of the first few DJs to push the DnB sound in Atlanta, and one of the first to even play DnB at raves in Birmingham, Montgomery, Mobile, and even Jackson, Miss. Jeremy was at the forefront of the emerging Southeast Drum n Bass scene and held down residencies with Pleazure, Konkrete Jungle, and Shady Productions, and spun alongside all the big names of the day. In the early 2000′s, Jeremy and Kia kept it going in Atlanta at The Church, The Globe, and every other underground venue in the city spinning alongside Dieselboy, AK1200, Bad Company UK, and Roni Size. In the last couple of years Jeremy wandered away from Drum and Bass and ran into a new sound called Dubstep. Having always been a fan of ragga and reggae vibes and bass heavy, wobbly Drum and Bass, it was easily a match.  He started up atlantadubstep.com and teamed up with local promoters to start pushing the sound at weekly and monthly events. Jeremy and the guys from Corinthian Recordings also started up a digital Dubstep label called Worldwide Transmissions. Now with a strong following, Dubstep in Atlanta is starting to make a name for itself. Jeremy has production tracks in the works set to come out on some serious labels in 2010, as well as solid monthly Dubstep events running around town. Expect to see big ‘tings from the man Jeremy in the coming year.
