We Make Horsepower. Period.

Bullrun tonight v.Everyone Hates Team Lexus.

Last week was a sad week. I really truly liked the guys from Team Viper. Dale caught a lot of flack on the Bullrun forum for his driving, but it’s easy to be a bench racer while you sit on your couch watching TV. It’s a whole different story when it is YOUR Hennessey Viper out there for the wrecking. Of course, all of us know that we will eventually go into a challenge at some point, but you PRAY that it is a challenge that suits your car. Things just didn’t go that way for Team Viper. I was was there and saw their run in person. Dale would try to give it some gas and the car just wasn’t having it. That car is meant for good times on asphalt, not dirt. Anyways RIP Team Viper. You will be sorely missed.

Now on to the drama and behind the scenes gossip from episode 3. First of all, not only do we have sign stealers, NOW we have MAP stealers. Team NSX apparently decided to steal Team Mini’s map because we wouldn’t let NSX bump in front of the line to get on the ferry. Sissy and I had to stand in front of their car so they couldn’t do so. I guess they didn’t like that and decided to play dirty as punishment. It took all of being turned around for 2 seconds and Mini’s map was no where to be found. Us teams had no idea that they actually did steal the map that day because they never admitted it, but of course we had a strong feeling they did. It just didn’t make sense any other way. Alas, karma is always a bitch and NSX ended up locking their keys in their car. Too bad someone from production had a hanger or else they would have been stuck there.

Now onto the guy running the Ferry. OMG I could have killed that guy. As some of you guys may know, my new nick name has become Tube Top. Hey! A girl has to do what a girl has to do. I know the power of my assets and when to use them. Well this used to work anyways. I don’t know if I am just over my prime now or if this guy was gay, but the offer didn’t work. In fact nothing worked. It’s probably safe to assume that the Wu’s paid him off more than any of us could afford.

Luckily, we made it to the final check point thanks to some really nice locals. As you see, Viper ended up turning around because it looked like a road to nowhere. We decided to stick with it. They didn’t show it, but we came across a guy in a minivan who went completely out of his way for about 20 miles to get us to a main road. There is one thing I can say about Bullrun, the teams may have been mean, but the locals everywhere we went were super nice. There were so many people willing to take the time to go out of their way to take us to where we needed to go. Just when you think all of humanity sucks, Bullrun restores the faith!

Next up. Can anyone say F Wu????? Gawd I am so over them. For some odd reason, someone made the decision to cut out a large piece of the drama that led up to Bill “calling me out” on being a past driver. So, it goes a little something like this: the day before, during the many hours of standing around on challenge days, Team Lambo got into the conversation about whether they could Google me or not and come up with something, which I thought was kind of a weird conversation to be having—considering we had no access to computers. I just laughed it off and went about my business. The next day rolls around and we are out on the road doing our thing and all of a sudden we see Lambo passing us at about 90 mph with no follow van in sight. So we grab our flip cams and film them doing speeding their hiney’s off. We were told by the producers that if we sped to the check points for immunity, the immunity wouldn’t be there when we got there. Of course, there was much controversy about whether this was said by the producers or not afterwards, but I know what I heard. I had the fastest car out there and if all I had to do was speed to the immunity, then I was all about it. But when the question was raised by another team and we were told about the speeding, we decided to play by the rules and hoped Lambo would get caught NOT playing by the rules and have the immunity taken from them.

So, the next day we tell the other teams we caught Lambo speeding on video and show them the tape. At this point everyone is talking like they hate the Wu’s, so they were all excited that I had caught them speeding. Emilie was going to stop the presses during the eliminations and show the tape, but at the last minute she got cold feet and we decided I would call it out. So, when they flung out the immunity, I yelled for everyone to stop and pulled out my camera to show what we had captured. Let’s just say, it didn’t go over well. I assume this is why they decided to cut the whole thing out.

Ultimately, the callout the Wu’s made about my past career was in retort to me calling them out for speeding. I have no idea how they found out because we didn’t tell ANYONE besides production. They only show 1 minute of the 10 minute ordeal between me and Bil, but he was calling me a liar and asking me who I told blah blah blah. Either way it happened, the jig was up and we were now a target. We went from girls who stalled their boyfriends car to a possible threat in an instant.

The good news, we came in 2nd on that leg, so we must have been doing something right. Even though Emilie and I argued for about 15 minutes about where the check point was, we found it and weren’t in eliminations.

So, now we are on track for this weeks show. Where I start to find out how people really feel about us. I have to tell you, we have no idea what people say when they are in their cars until we see it on tv. I had read on one of the Lexus forums that BMW may have told some people after the show that no one liked Team Lexus out there. Which was awesome because it inspired this sticker made by my friend Voodoo Timm:

It was fun for a minute, but now I am getting to see how people really felt about us out there. Watch the episode 4 behind the scenes footage below where you will see it all start to come out. I am most shocked by little miss Julia from Hemicuda. One thing I am not is catty. I may be loud and boisterous—the worst of my issues, but I am not catty. I always try to support other women because I have been in this man’s industry for a very long time and I know how hard it is to feel respected. The last thing us girls need to be doing is wishing ill fate on each other or putting each other down and I just don’t do it. Especially behind someones back. At the very least I will let you know how I feel to your face and try to work it out with you. Either way, I still have love for little Miss Babycuda. I find it hard to hold a grudge and that was like 4 months ago. So for me, it’s water under the bridge.

The good news? Apparently no one on the show liked us, but Speed’s marketing department sure does. They called me a few weeks ago and asked if I would like to do an interview for national print publications. They said they liked my story and thought it would be a good way to promote Bullrun. Of course, I said yes and the article came out this past Saturday. So, I think I’ll just keep being me and not worry about what the catty people say. In the long run, everything seems to be working out in my favor. As I always say, good things happen to good people. Being loud and assertive doesn’t make you a bad person and doesn’t deserve the ill will.

As if you had to nerve to call everyone dumb and that you know all… as if calling yourself a “professional race care drive” didn’t make you sound retarded enough..
I hope you realize how stupid you made yourself look…
No matter where it came from miss… thats just not cool and you have some serious personal issues you need to resolve…
